SnapHolt Privacy Policy

Short version: SnapHolt does not upload your captures, saved page content, MHTML, history, or saved target list to Queue1Lab. Core product data stays in your browser. Chrome still makes ordinary requests to pages you choose to capture. Limited data is also sent for license verification with Polar and, when you explicitly enable it, trusted timestamping with FreeTSA. Purchase and support records are handled separately below.

1. Data processed locally by the extension

Before first use, SnapHolt shows this local-processing scope in the product and requires you to select Agree & continue before any capture or management feature can begin.

• Capture content: screenshots, selected regions, annotations, optional original MHTML, thumbnails, and derived SHA-256 hashes are created on your device. Exported files are written to your chosen location or Downloads folder.
• Short Clip recordings: when you start a short clip, that tab’s screen is recorded as a silent video (up to 10 minutes). No microphone or tab audio is recorded. The video is produced in browser memory (an offscreen document) and is written to your device only when you choose to save it or keep it in history. It is released from memory when you discard or close the preview, when the tab closes, or after 30 minutes — saving alone does not release it, so you can replay the clip right after saving. Video is never uploaded.
• Pointer position and clicks while recording: only while a recording is running, SnapHolt reads the pointer position and clicks to draw a cursor and click marks on screen. The coordinates and click events themselves are not stored or transmitted, and reading stops when the recording ends. The drawn cursor is part of the video you save. Keystrokes are not collected.
• History: captured files or references, clip videos you chose to keep, thumbnails, optional MHTML, page titles, URLs, capture times, and tags are stored in the extension’s local IndexedDB database.
• Schedules and settings: scheduled target URLs, selected regions, schedule options, change-detection state, run results, preferences, language selection, usage counters (this month’s evidence-mode usage), your privacy consent record, and local license state are stored in Chrome’s local extension storage.
• Open-tab import: only when you click Import open tabs, SnapHolt reads the URLs of your currently open tabs and copies them into the local batch list. This does not run automatically, and the list is not sent to Queue1Lab.
• SnapHolt contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or remotely hosted executable code.

This local data is not automatically synced or backed up by Queue1Lab. Removing the extension, clearing Chrome or extension data, resetting the browser profile, storage eviction or corruption, or device loss may delete it permanently.

2. Network requests made by the extension

Pages selected by the user. When you capture the current page or add a URL as a scheduled or batch target, Chrome loads that site normally. SnapHolt may make a HEAD or GET request to the same target URL to read capture metadata or diagnose a loading failure. The target site and its providers may process ordinary connection information such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, and request time under their own policies. SnapHolt does not upload the capture, saved page content, MHTML, history, or saved target list to Queue1Lab as part of this process.

License activation and validation — purchasers only. Over HTTPS, SnapHolt sends the license key you enter, a fixed Queue1Lab/Polar organization identifier, a product label, and the Polar-issued activation identifier as needed to Polar. Validation normally occurs no more than once per day while a key is active. The request does not include captures, MHTML, page content, browsing history, saved target URLs, or annotations.

Like other internet services, Polar may receive ordinary connection information such as IP address, browser, operating system, device type, and request timing under Polar’s Privacy Policy. Polar Software, Inc. is located in the United States and may process data in the United States and other locations described in its policy.

Trusted Timestamp — optional and off by default. Only after you enable this option, SnapHolt sends an RFC 3161 DER request containing the SHA-256 digest of the capture to the public FreeTSA service. The original image, MHTML, URL, and page content are not included in that request. The service may see ordinary connection metadata. Queue1Lab does not control FreeTSA’s infrastructure, availability, retention, or future policies.

3. Purchase, order, and support information

Polar is the merchant of record for purchases. At checkout, Polar and its payment processors may collect your name, email address, country or billing information, payment information, tax information, order details, and license status. Queue1Lab can view limited customer, order, refund, and license information in the Polar supplier dashboard to deliver licenses, provide support, prevent abuse, keep business records, and comply with law. Queue1Lab does not receive your full payment-card number. Polar controls its checkout records under its own privacy policy and legal retention duties.

If you email Queue1Lab, we process your address, message, attachments, order lookup details, selected refund category, technical diagnostics, and related support history to answer and resolve the request, process refunds, identify repeated or abusive requests, and improve the product. The structured refund page prepares an email locally in your browser; it does not upload or store form entries, and Queue1Lab receives them only after you send the email. GitHub Issues are public; do not post a license key, order ID, private capture, or other personal information there.

4. How Queue1Lab uses and shares information

Queue1Lab uses information only to provide and secure SnapHolt, validate entitlements, fulfill purchases, provide support and refunds, prevent fraud or license abuse, maintain required business records, and comply with law. Queue1Lab does not sell personal data or use capture content, browsing activity, or purchase data for advertising or credit decisions. Information is shared only with Polar, with FreeTSA at your direction, with service providers needed to answer a request, or where legally required.

5. Retention, deletion, and your choices

• Delete local capture history from SnapHolt or remove the extension. Exported files remain until you delete them from the device or destination you selected.
• Deactivating a license asks Polar to release the activation and removes the local key and activation state. If the request cannot reach Polar, the local copy is still removed. Deactivation does not erase purchase, invoice, tax, or fraud-prevention records held by Polar or Queue1Lab.
• Queue1Lab keeps support and accessible order records only as long as reasonably needed for support, licensing, refunds, dispute prevention, accounting, or legal obligations. Polar applies its own retention policy.

You may ask Queue1Lab to access, correct, or delete personal information under its control by emailing queue1.dev@gmail.com. We may need to verify the request and may retain information where law or a legitimate dispute requires it. For information controlled by Polar, use Polar’s customer portal or contact privacy@polar.sh.

6. Security and international processing

SnapHolt uses HTTPS for the external requests described above. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, and you are responsible for securing your browser profile, device, exported files, and license key. Polar and FreeTSA may process requests outside your country. Do not enable the optional timestamp feature if you do not want the capture digest and connection metadata sent to that public service.

7. Chrome Web Store Limited Use

SnapHolt uses information received from Chrome APIs only to provide or improve its disclosed features: screen and page capture and short silent tab recording, editing and export (images, PDF, video, GIF), scheduling and local change detection, local history, evidence records, and licensing. SnapHolt’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

8. Policy changes and contact

This page shows the current policy and effective date. If a future version introduces a materially different data practice, Queue1Lab will update this policy and provide any in-product notice or consent required before the new practice begins.

1. 확장이 로컬에서 처리하는 데이터

• 캡처 콘텐츠: 스크린샷, 선택 영역, 주석, 선택적으로 저장하는 원본 MHTML, 썸네일과 파생 SHA-256 해시는 기기에서 생성됩니다. 내보낸 파일은 사용자가 선택한 위치 또는 다운로드 폴더에 기록됩니다.
• 숏 클립 녹화: 사용자가 숏 클립을 시작하면 그 탭의 화면이 무음 영상으로 녹화됩니다(최대 10분). 마이크와 탭 오디오는 수집하지 않습니다. 영상은 브라우저 메모리(offscreen 문서)에서 만들어지며, 사용자가 저장하거나 히스토리 보관을 선택할 때만 기기에 기록됩니다. 미리보기를 폐기하거나 닫을 때, 탭이 닫힐 때, 또는 30분이 지나면 메모리에서 해제됩니다(저장 직후에도 다시 재생할 수 있도록, 저장 자체로는 해제하지 않습니다). 영상은 어디에도 업로드되지 않습니다.
• 녹화 중 마우스 위치·클릭: 녹화가 도는 동안에만 마우스 위치와 클릭을 읽어 화면에 커서와 클릭 표시를 그립니다. 좌표와 클릭 이벤트 자체는 저장하거나 전송하지 않고, 녹화가 끝나면 읽기를 멈춥니다. 화면에 그려진 커서는 사용자가 저장하는 영상에 담깁니다. 키 입력은 수집하지 않습니다.
• 히스토리: 캡처 파일 또는 참조, 사용자가 보관하기로 한 클립 영상, 썸네일, 선택적 MHTML, 페이지 제목·URL, 캡처 시각과 태그는 확장의 로컬 IndexedDB 데이터베이스에 저장됩니다.
• 예약과 설정: 예약 대상 URL, 선택 영역, 예약 옵션, 변경 감지 상태, 실행 결과, 환경설정과 언어 선택, 사용량 카운터(증거 모드의 이번 달 사용 횟수), 개인정보 동의 기록과 로컬 라이선스 상태는 Chrome의 확장 로컬 저장소에 저장됩니다.

사용자가 지정한 페이지. 사용자가 현재 페이지를 캡처하거나 예약·일괄 캡처 대상으로 URL을 지정하면 Chrome이 해당 사이트를 정상적으로 로드합니다. 캡처 메타데이터 확인이나 로드 실패 진단을 위해 같은 대상 URL에 HEAD 또는 GET 요청이 발생할 수 있습니다. 대상 사이트와 그 서비스 제공자는 IP 주소, 브라우저 정보, 요청 URL·시각 같은 통상적인 접속 정보를 자체 정책에 따라 처리할 수 있습니다. SnapHolt는 이 과정에서 캡처, 저장한 페이지 내용, MHTML, 히스토리 또는 대상 URL 목록을 Queue1Lab로 업로드하지 않습니다.

라이선스 활성화·검증 — 구매자에 한함. SnapHolt는 HTTPS를 통해 사용자가 입력한 라이선스 키, 고정 Queue1Lab/Polar 조직 식별자, 제품 라벨과 Polar가 발급한 활성화 식별자를 필요한 범위에서 Polar로 전송합니다. 키가 활성화된 동안 통상 하루 1회를 넘지 않게 검증합니다. 이 요청에는 캡처, MHTML, 페이지 내용, 웹 기록, 저장한 대상 URL 또는 주석이 포함되지 않습니다.

Queue1Lab은 라이선스 제공, 지원, 부정 사용 방지, 사업 기록과 법적 의무 이행을 위해 Polar 공급자 대시보드에서 제한적인 고객·주문·환불·라이선스 정보를 확인할 수 있습니다. Queue1Lab은 결제카드 전체 번호를 받지 않습니다. Polar는 자체 개인정보처리방침과 법적 보관 의무에 따라 결제 기록을 관리합니다.

Queue1Lab로 이메일을 보내면 답변·해결·환불 처리·반복 또는 남용 요청 확인·제품 개선을 위해 이메일 주소, 메시지, 첨부파일, 주문 조회 정보, 선택한 환불 사유 분류, 기술 진단 정보와 관련 지원 기록을 처리합니다. 구조화된 환불 페이지는 브라우저에서 로컬로 이메일을 준비할 뿐 입력 내용을 업로드하거나 저장하지 않으며, 사용자가 이메일을 전송한 뒤에만 Queue1Lab이 내용을 받습니다. GitHub Issues는 공개됩니다. 라이선스 키, 주문 ID, 비공개 캡처 또는 다른 개인정보를 게시하지 마세요.

4. Queue1Lab의 이용·공유 목적

Queue1Lab은 SnapHolt 제공·보호, 이용 권한 검증, 구매 이행, 지원·환불, 사기·라이선스 남용 방지, 필요한 사업 기록 유지와 법적 의무 이행에만 정보를 사용합니다. 개인정보를 판매하지 않으며 캡처 내용, 웹 활동 또는 구매 정보를 광고나 신용도 판단에 사용하지 않습니다. 정보는 Polar, 사용자가 요청한 FreeTSA, 문의 해결에 필요한 서비스 제공자 또는 법에서 요구하는 경우에만 공유합니다.

5. 보관·삭제와 사용자의 선택

• SnapHolt에서 로컬 캡처 히스토리를 삭제하거나 확장을 제거할 수 있습니다. 내보낸 파일은 사용자가 기기 또는 선택한 저장 위치에서 직접 삭제할 때까지 남습니다.
• 라이선스 비활성화 시 Polar에 활성화 해제를 요청하고 로컬 키와 활성화 상태를 삭제합니다. Polar에 연결하지 못해도 로컬 사본은 삭제합니다. 비활성화는 Polar 또는 Queue1Lab이 보유한 구매·영수증·세금·부정 사용 방지 기록을 삭제하지 않습니다.
• Queue1Lab은 지원, 라이선스, 환불, 분쟁 방지, 회계 또는 법적 의무에 합리적으로 필요한 동안만 접근 가능한 지원·주문 기록을 보관합니다. Polar에는 자체 보관 정책이 적용됩니다.

7. Chrome 웹 스토어 제한적 사용

SnapHolt는 Chrome API에서 받은 정보를 공개된 기능 — 화면·페이지 캡처와 짧은 탭 녹화, 편집과 내보내기(이미지·PDF·영상·GIF), 예약과 로컬 변경 감지, 로컬 히스토리, 증거 기록, 라이선스 — 을 제공하거나 개선하는 데만 사용합니다. Google API에서 받은 정보의 이용은 제한적 사용 요건을 포함한 Chrome 웹 스토어 사용자 데이터 정책을 준수합니다.

8. 방침 변경과 문의

이 페이지에는 최신 방침과 발효일을 표시합니다. 향후 버전이 실질적으로 다른 데이터 처리 방식을 도입하면 처리 시작 전에 이 방침을 갱신하고 필요한 제품 내 안내나 동의를 받습니다.
